UPDATE: Man killed in chimney collapse
A man was killed after a chimney collapsed at a house in Batley.
Firefighters from Dewsbury, Batley and Cleckheaton were called to Thorncliffe Estate in Staincliffe at around 2.20pm yesterday (Thursday).
Police said a 23-year-old male had sustained fatal injuries.
Thorncliffe Estate had been closed in both directions and structural engineers were also called to the scene.
Police said enquiries are ongoing.
